I was recently thinking about where would we all be today without social networking. I think that without social networking there would be less communication between one another as well as something for us to do. What i mean by this is without social networking we wouldnt been able to find family and friends throughout the world. We also use social networking as something to do kind of like a hobby. All social networks are available to us in our cellphones therefore we are use to checkin in and seeing what others are doing or saying and commenting on. We look at one another pics and just chat. Like i said it is addicting and without it i dont know how we would function. Do you? How do you think we would be without social networking? Mainly Facebook?

  1. Well to be honest, I really don't use facebook and I seem to be just fine without it. I have used it in the past, and I thought it was cool to be able to talk to family members and even friends that I grew up with. I notice how some people spend almost all of their time on it, and yes, it is like they are addicted to it. I've even heard people say that they are. To me, it's not that serious to know what someone else is doing every second of the day.

  2. Without social networking; as of right now, I am fine without it. I use facebook only to catch up with friends who may not have a cellphone/texting on their phones, but other than that; what else is their to do on FB? Thank goodness, I did not even start on Farmville, or any of those "role playing" games on facebook, because (no offense to those who do have it) it just looks pointless and people spend so many hours playing that game harvesting their virtual crops, and basically, nothing in reality gets done; i.e: homework.

  3. I think people would be able to connect with friends around the world, whether social networking existed or not. Too much dependency is being placed on facebook. It's ridiculous. Overall, it's a platform for the lonely and ignorant to spread negativity and foolishness. There are great benefits to social networking, especially marketing and reconnecting with friends. It can be quite entertaining, but most days I could certainly do without it. If people placed the same amount of energy into productive actitivies as they do Facebook, the world would be a better place.

  4. Okay, facebooking is a good thing if it is used in a productive, entertaining and legal fashion. The intimacy aspects can be a concern. But, I can't see a person stranded on a desert isle facebooking or hidding in a cave threatening the world with destruction. Can anybody? Yea, that's a concern for me. If safe guards are in place have facebook can be beneficial for us all. Not mention very lucrative.
